Art League of Lincoln
Mission:: The Art League of Lincoln has been formed for charitable purposes, to promote, foster and support the arts in the greater Lincoln area through exhibits, shows, tours, education and other activities for artists and art appreciators.
History: Incorporating in 2012 as a Non-Profit organization, the Art League of Lincoln offers three galleries, a gift shop, over 25 exhibits a year and several public art events. We support arts education in schools and beyond. We are a membership based organization and rely on volunteers and donors. Our annual flagship exhibit, Feats of Clay, celebrates ceramic arts. Lincoln, known as "Clay Town" is home to Gladding McBean, a working terra cotta factory. Gladding, now 150 years old, is responsible for much of the turn of the century architectural features throughout the nation and overseas. Gladding supports our ClayFest each year, where artists sculpt terra cotta clay pipes in Lincoln's downtown plaza.
